Welcome to the web site home page of Belfast Adult Education, a division of Regional School Unit (RSU) #71.  Browse the web site by clicking on the above tabs or page links for the latest program information; search the course catalog for courses and their descriptions in five different categories; register for our courses online; or use the contact information to communicate directly with the main office. 

Main Office Hours of Operation for Belfast Adult Education are:   Monday-Thursday, 8:30-12:00 and 12:30-6:00; Friday, 8:30-12:00  and 12:30-4:30; closed on all school holidays; school and summer vacations 8:30-12:00 and 12:30-5:00.

 CHECK for the most recent changes to program operations by clicking on the NEWS tab above.  SELECT from  a variety of page links including NEW COURSES, UPDATES to COURSES, SPECIAL NOTICES and ADJUSTMENTS to PROGRAM  PROCEDURES .

Conditions from time to time will dictate that Belfast Adult Education temporarily close due to inclement weather.  Program students and staff should view WLBZ 2 Storm Center for the latest information regarding school cancellation.

FOR THE COMFORT of ALL: 

-A reminder that the Adult Education building and grounds are RSU #71 property and, therefore, smoke free. 

-Many adult education participants can become ill in the presence of strong odors and scents including smokey or unwashed clothing, perfumes, cosmetics and hairsprays.  Please refrain from applying such irritants before accessing adult education facilities. 

Belfast Adult Eduation is pleased to announce that LITERACY VOLUNTEERS OF WALDO COUNTY, a program formerly of Broadreach, Inc.,  has joined the adult education group of services and programs.  Click on the link, LVWC, to learn more about this esciting new program.
